He married twice. He married Mary Francis Westlake 20 Nov 1869. Mary was born 14 May 1849. Mary died 11 Nov 1894 in Ottawa co., KS, at 45 years of age. Her body was interred in Ottawa co., KS, Lamar. He married Lena Eva Thisler 22 Aug 1904. Lena was born 1870. Lena died 1953 at 83 years of age.
