33. Capt. Gideon⁴ Gifford (Gideon³, William², William¹) was born in Rochester, MA 28 Nov 1719. Gideon died after 6 April 1789 in Beekman Patent, Dutchess Co., NY, at approximately 69 years of age.

He married Lois Jackson in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA, 14 Mar 1742. Lois was born in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA 1727. Lois was the daughter of Joseph Jackson and Remembrance Jackson.

Capt. Gideon Gifford and Lois Jackson had the following children:

35 i. Caleb W.⁵ Gifford was born in Beekman Patent, Dutchess Co., NY. Caleb died 1816 in Schaghticoke, Rensselaer Co., NY.

36 ii. Capt. Joseph Gifford was born in Rochester, MA 17 Mar 1743/44. Joseph died 7 Nov 1829 in E. Pittstown, Rensselaer Co., NY, at 85 years of age. She|he married Sarah Fuller Kingston, Ulster Co., NY, 1 Jul 1767. Sarah was born in Oblong Patent, Beekman twp, Dutchess Co., NY ca. 1742. Sarah was the daughter of Daniel Fuller and Mehitable Broughton. Sarah died 11 Jul 1836 at 94 years of age. also have 10 July 1827 for her death.

+ 37 iii. Mary Gifford was born 5 Jul 1745.

38 iv. William Gifford was born in Dutchess Co., NY ca 1757. William died 15 Aug 1846 in Greenfield twp., Erie Co., PA, at 89 years of age.

39 v. John Gifford was born in Dutchess Co., NY 27 Aug 1760. John died 24 May 1854 in Mayville, NY, at 93 years of age.
