He married Isabelle Johnson McNamer in Davis co., IA, 7 Jan 1872. Isabelle was born in Louisa co., IA 6 Sep 1846. Isabelle was the daughter of Nicholas A. McNamer and Margarette Earnest. Isabelle died 7 Aug 1927 in Delphos, Ottawa co., KS, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred 9 Aug 1927 in Delphos, Ottawa co., KS, Delphos.

William Marion Hardesty and Isabelle Johnson McNamer had the following children:

12 i. Florence Margarette³ Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 27 Nov 1872. Florence died 2 Feb 1950 in Delphos, Ottawa co., KS, at 77 years of age. Her body was interred 4 Feb 1950 in Delphos, Ottawa co., KS, Delphos. Never married.

+ 14 iii. Ottis Elliot Hardesty was born 20 Aug 1876.

15 iv. Carolyn Siloam Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 2 Feb 1878. Carolyn died 10 Nov 1938 at 60 years of age. She married John Eberhardt 14 Oct 1914.

16 v. Marian Leslie Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 26 May 1881.

17 vi. Emma Dorothy Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 30 Dec 1883.

18 vii. Alice Mildred Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 27 Feb 1885.

19 viii. Mildred Willa Hardesty was born in Meredith twp, Cloud co., KS 15 Jun 1887.
